LOTS OF DEADLINES COMING SUNDAY AT MIDNIGHT (technically Monday morning).
Registration closes Sunday. After that, Mobilize goes away and only those of you that are registered will be receiving emails about NCBSO. We have LOTS of things to do before the retreat that require knowing who is going to be in the choir next season.
NEWS UPDATES
I plan to post new updates that were formerly done through Mobilize at NCBSO.org. When I do that, I will also send out an email alerting you to the post. This way you can always review past messages and resources. I will be posting the contents of this email there as well. Just login to News Updates at the site and see everything that has been posted.
NEW PLATFORM REGISTRATION
You will be receiving an email from WorshipPlanning.com next week asking you to go in and update your profile information. This is the main platform to poll you about attendance and send out notifications to you. Please complete the information and upload a pic.
PROOF YOUR NAMETAGS
SO IMPORTANT. Go to this list. If your name is not there, you are not registered for the new season. ALSO, check your name, church city and Life Verse for errors. This information will be printed on your new nametags next week. We will be having some awesome-looking name tags for the future, but if you entered wrong information, there will be wrong information on the tags. Please check it now. If there is an error, email enunn@ncbaptist.org by Sunday midnight.

HOW NEW MEMBERS JOIN THE CHOIR
We now have a page that outlines the process to join the NCBSO for people who are not worship/music staff. Direct any prospects to this page. As before, there is a recommendation form by the minister of music/worship pastor and there is an online audition recording to submit.
AUDITION FOR SOLOS
If you are interested in the solo for New Name Written Down in Glory or the duet in I Speak Jesus, please go to the audition page and submit your recording. Let me know if you have any questions.
ONLINE RESOURCES AND PERMISSIONS
As you are using your resources online, you are free to download the mp3s and PDFs and even print the PDF to help you in learning the music. We have purchased copies in excess of those needed for our choir as well as licenses for you to download and use the mp3s for rehearsal. You CANNOT print the music for use at your church or distribute the mp3s to people outside our choir. All this is licensed for NCBSO rehearsal use only.
TABLET USERS
If you opted to play/sing from a tablet, you can download your music from NCBSO.org to your tablet for use in concert. We have purchased a print copy that will remain in our library as you use your electronic copy.
ORCHESTRA MUSIC AND RETREAT INFO
All orchestra members–those that are singing and those that are not singing with the choir will be involved in the retreat from a 9:30 a.m. setup time until around 3:30 p.m. (current iteration of the schedule). Please make plans to attend the entire time. WE NEED YOU!! The orchestra music is being prepared and should be to you soon. We will be sending it out to everyone registered for next season.
CONCERT ATTIRE
We will not be wearing the formal attire of past years, but we will have a dressy and a more casual attire this year. Details will be released at the retreat (or perhaps before), but our more formal look will be all black–tops, bottoms, shoes. We will also have a more casual shirt that can be worn with the black bottoms. I think you will like what our team is putting together for the season.
YOUR LIFE VERSE – UPDATE BY SUNDAY IF DESIRED
The NCBSO registration form asks for your Life Verse. Those of you on the retreat last year are very familiar with that concept. I wrote some about it in a previous email. I noticed that some of you have listed an entire chapter as your life verse. You should be able to quote your verse from memory when you are talking with someone, and that will be something we again will use to share at times this season. Here is an article about life verses that might help.
If you would like to update the verse(s) you listed in the registration form, please send me an email by early next week. We will be having our life verses on our nametags which will be printed soon after registration closes on July 31.
