Name Tags
Due to the increase in membership this year, we are going to have to order new name tags for this season and will not have them for the retreat (we thought we had plenty for new members, but we our numbers exceeded our expectations!!). All returning members should bring their name tags from last season to wear. If you cannot find it, you will have a temporary stick-on name tag to use.
All new members will have a special name tag on a lanyard that will help our people know that you are new to the group. Everyone will get a permanent tag at the September 11 event.
We are sorry for the inconvenience, but the group expanded a lot in the last 3 weeks after the window for new name tags was past.
The Worship Ministry Guidebook
Several people have asked if I would have copies of our newest resource, The Worship Ministry Guidebook, at the retreat. You can learn more about the book here. I will have them available to you vastly under cost ($5 each), but you will have to pay cash (we will not have a credit card machine AND we want to save credit card fees at this price). We have already distributed over 1,000 copies of this book!
Concert Attire
All new members need to make their payment for the concert attire pieces before coming to the retreat. Learn more about what you will need to wear here.
Schedule & Concert Order
You can find the retreat schedule and the concert order in previous posts on this site. Here is a 2-up PDF of the order and schedule if you would like one. I will have these printed for you at the retreat.
Music Prep
Remember that ALL choral pieces should be learned pretty well before coming to the retreat. You have so many resources available on this site to help you.
Life Verse
Each of you chose a Life Verse that will be on your name tag. Be prepared to share that verse and why it is meaningful to you many times during our retreat. This will help us get to know each other a bit deeper.
Pray
Don’t get so busy with all the prep that you forget the most important piece. Pray for each other. Pray for yourself that God will use you and change you this season. Pray for those that will be attending. Begin now to make this a daily part of your prayer life. Expect great things this season!
Next Year’s Retreat
Just a reminder that the retreat is scheduled for August 1-2, 2014 at Caraway Conference Center.
